Advice to buyer: |
drive a honda first..and then try the Mariner Premier..same price, no comparison |
Detailed review: |
After two years in the Escape Hybrid 2WD (not recommended) I was looking for something that was quieter, more comfortable, large enough to transport an 85 pound dog, a kayak or skiis..and provided the safety of full air bag and electronic stability control.
The price point on the upgraded Premier Mariner was far more competetive with the equipment than any of the others in this class. It drives and handles extremely well, with a smooth ride, good acceleration, excellent trim and finish, and it is QUIET inside!
I am not one to extol the virtues of any car I buy..and all of them have had their weaknesses. However, I think this Mariner is nearly as perfect a design of any SUV in the price range. Oh, and the back-up sensor system ( my first) is absolutely great for parking and backing movements! |
