Take a look at body panels, trim, molding... Look at amount of foam in engine, make your own determination. |

Just purchased a 2007 Ford Fusion... Not a bad car, only I notice their are a few things that seem very cheap. For instance, the trim and molding around the windows have huge gaps where the rubber is suppose to meet the metal. Another is I notice alot of foam and cheap looking seals under the hood, I know many cars are made like this, but in my opinion, this cars construction as far as its seals will not hold up over time (leaves me wondering about other things/more important things). I have noticed that body panels are not even, for instance, I can fit my fingertips between edge of the hood and the right headlight while at the same time I am not able to even fit my fingernails between the other side. I like Ford, and prefer to buy American, but their are things that leave me wondering and hesitant... The car does ride nicely, smooth and quiet, nicely equipped too for the money. |
