Advice to buyer: |
Test drive one, but when you do, take it on the highway and try the wonderful torque. |
Detailed review: |
I'm a commuter, 80 miles a day. I hate my job, but when I leave work, I just love to drive VW car home! This engine was made for the commuter. It's not a race car getting up to speed, but once your going 60-75 mph, your right in the engine's sweet spot. There are gobs of wonderful torque. I get close to 50 mpg with the stick shift. The Automatic gets conderably less. Its kind of funny waiting in line at the truck stop to get diesel (thats where its usually the cheapest), but I'm OK with that. Not I fill my tank only once a week, and I have plenty of gas to spare for the weekend. |
