 Detailed review:

Bought this car used with 7,000 miles it now has 65,000. The car is as basic as you can get, which is all I wanted. Car has the 5 speed manual, no A/C or power steering. My gas mileage has been around 34 to almost 38 MPG. On the interstate the cars runs 80 + MPH easy. Have taken it up to 100 in a quick spirt, but dont recommend doing this for after 80 it starts getting a little loose. Very impressed with this cars reliability and ecomomy. If you folks remember the Ford Festiva and Aspire. Those were both KIAs built for Ford. I have only used Mobil 1 in my car and I plan to keep it around till it has well over 100,000 miles on it. I may keep it for one of my kids to drive. My car has had NO mechanical issues what so ever. Very nice to have a reliable car now days with the hi cost of labor. I would recommend this car for anyone looking for decent reliable transportation. As good as this car is, it is not of course perfect. The original tires had weak sidewalls and I lost one to a sidewall puncture. Wish 5th gear was a little higher for I find myself from time to time searching for the next gear or checking to make sure I was in fifth. Once after driving 150 miles in a snow storm with white out conditions. The car failed to slow down. Used the clutch and higher gear to keep the engine from over revving as I pulled it off to the side of the road. The snow was so fine that day it got into the engine compartment and built up aroung the throttle linkage keeping the throttle from returning to the idle position. Worked this loose with my hand and returned to driving with no more problems. In the cars defense I would consider that I was driving my it in extremely poor conditions. Most people would never even be out on the roads in that kind of weather or be on the interstate barely seeing the tractor trailer ahead of you for all the snow that was being kicked up. A simple plastic shield around the throttle body would easilly correct this issue. Overall this is just plain and simple a great car for the money.
