The 2005 Chevy Cobalt was a major mistake for me! Not 15 days after I purchased this 'new and worry free' car, I had it back in the Service dept! First, a fuse went out. The steering column went bad, causing a major rattle and shake that the 'highly trained and qualified' service dept. couldn't 'duplicate at this time'. Then, the electronics kept fading in and out. One day the radio wouldn't work, the next the air conditioning wouldn't work. Next, the ignition refused to release the key! Many delays ensued as the Service dept. would order one part after the other and keep the car all day-only to fail to fix the problems. To add a little insult, the driver's side weather strip kept shearing off! Five in all were put back on only to shear off again. GM's customer care line proved to be dysfunctional and chocked full of smart assed kids who told me they were sorry I felt the way I did when I complained. Finally I went through the Better Business Bureau and they convinced GM to re-purchase their piece of crap! Buyer beware! |
