Detailed review: |
At the end of July, I test drove a V50 T5 with the geartronic at my local dealer and enjoyed the car enough to lease one. However, there were very few T5s available and I needed a car imediately due to another lease expiration. Well, one of the Volvo owned dealerships released their demo to me (A-plan) on August 8 and I have driven the car about 500 miles. The car is fantastic, it's very quick, economical and just plain fun to drive. In combined driving the car got 26 mpg and thats with test drives and 60% highway driving. The low pressure turbo has terrific low end torque that nearly out accelerates my '87 911 and the ride is nicely firm. The handling is tight with the all season Michelin's being the limiting factor. |
