This vehicle is without a doubt a notch above many of the other vehicles in it's category. Comfortable, quiet, and obvious build quality. Unfortunately Lexus seems to have a problem with either exhaust or drive train noise that is most noticeable on our car at around 60 mph. Our dealer (who, by the way, is excellent) had the car for about 4 days in an attempt to remedy the problem. However, even though somewhat improved, the noise still remains a problem. A second problem, a noticable shudder when shifting to 5th gear, still is also a problem. We live in the high country of Arizona where we encounter numerous elevation changes of from 1000 to 2000 feet. As the car up and down shifts (in cruise) it seems to always shudder as it goes into 5th gear. However, ignoring the above mentioned problems, this is one fine car with an excellent dealership network. |
