Hands down, this car is #1 for 2004, and there's not one thing I don't like about it! I agree it's the best in it's class, and even in higher classes of cars, it's a very good competitor. The interior looks are excellent, with everything placed perfectly for the driver. The exterior looks are very stylish and sporty, the best I've seen. Mazda has kept it's word with their motto,'Zoom-Zoom', and the 160-hp 2.3L Inline 4 engine shows it. It has excellent pickup, more than you'd think, shifts through the gears fast (even the automatic) and the sport shift is the best! I was going to get the 5-speed manual, but it was taking too long from the factory, so I got the 4-speed Auto w/ Manual shift mode feature. I'm new to this type of transmission, and it is definitely better than having to deal with a clutch. Overall this car is built strong, looks good inside & out, ride is smooth, engine strong, and handling is impressive. FYI, I got the Winning Blue 5-door with 4-speed Auto/Sport Shift, Moonroof/6-CD, ABS/Airbag package, and Xenon headlight/Tire Pressure Monitoring System package. |
