The Rio is the worst piece of junk I could have ever bought. I made the biggest mistake in my life purchasing this car. I bought this car brand new. The first weekend after the purchase it rained. My car had a flood of water inside. Turns out there was a huge hole under the dash which was only found and mended the fourth visit to Kia. They tried to fix the problem with new carpets. But the mold had already seeped everywhere. They ulitmately put this nasty deodorizer in the car, which was a disgusting orange. This never went away. We got to a crossroads where they could do no more to rid the moldy smell and they had a rep come see the car. The rep had the audacity to tell me the nasty orange/moldy smell in my car was not unusual and he could not help me out. I got a call from there customer service team who argued with me over the phone of whether there could be mold in the car. She claimed that Kia had magical fabric on the roof and the benches which could not be havens for mold. Meanwhile they devalued my car considerably with a nasty smell. The customer service team of Kia is worthless and defensive. My dad begged me to buy a Toyota, and I wish I did. I implore anyone who reads this NOT to buy Kia. It is a bucket of bolts on wheels that is worth nothing. |
