 Detailed review:

I've had my KIA only about three weeks. Let's hope the fabulous warranty is truly honored and that little 'goes wrong' in the future. I'm told that past KIA problems have pretty much been remedied by KIA Company. This car is a dream at the onset--a practical dream with a bit of style. Strong horsepower for a still-little car. Great for hill-climbing. Smooth ride too. Both cute and elegant. The interior could be a bit more plush (especially the carpet), but it's nice. The interior's light beige (creamy) coloring and cloth-seats with trim in taupe-like brown -- is comforting and attractive. Carpeting is very basic, little pile, but the mats make up for it. (I added simple plastic glow-see-through mats to protect the nice 'Spectra' mats!) The tire/caps could be better quality, but they're still nice. The 'hidden' roominess of the trunk is fabulous for this size car. The sound-system is not completely top-of-the-line, though close, despite the six speakers; sometimes very good; other times, a little tinny for my 'musical taste'. CD player is usually very good. Mileage is as advertised --- mid-20's in town; mid-30's on highways. I love the roominess of the interior, and the relatively quiet ride. At stops, the engine purr is hardly noticeable ('what engine?!'). And driving -- hardly hear an engine except for a very subtle windy whir -- which is actually quite pleasant! As for resale value/depreciation: for some reason Kelley Blue Book has it depreciating about a third more than, e.g., a Toyota Corolla (yet I still prefer this KIA car). Overall, it's worth a serious try. It has uniqueness. I feel it's a car you could say you 'love', even though it's an economy car!
