Detailed review: |
Surprise! Surprise! The 2006 Sonata is the car which finally dashed any previous misgivings I've had about Hyundai cars. Spacious, conservatively stylish, the quietness of a Lexus, a refined and ample V6, safety airbags all around, decent mileage of 20/30, all for a bargain price.
Long-term reliability is still a concern. But, after expensive tranaxle repairs on a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan at 85k miles and a series of expensive engine repairs on a 1995 Ford Contour at 80k miles, we'll see how our 2006 Hyundai Sonata holds up. The last reliable car I've had was a 1986 Nissan Pulsar which went beyond 100k without a single problem. |
