After a week of purchasing this 2002 Spectra the vehicle started to give me trouble. Not only is it slow to move on the acceleration, but gives this fast jerking take off which could give a person whip blash! Recently my vehicle had its state inspection and passed. Four days after the inspection the transmission was giving me major problems. I've always taken my vehicle in for timely services in getting proper oil/filter changes, and 15 to 27 point inspection checks, etc. The local Kia dealership now says I need a new transmission of which Kia they will not allow it to be replaced under warranty. So the cost is $1800. I faxed Kia all of my many invoices showing proper service with them as well as other independent auto services and they still won't honor their 100,000 warranty! They are very reluctant to keep their word. They are customer unfriendly when it comes to seeking out warranty repairs! NEVER BUY ANYTHING KIA! RUN FROM KIA. |
