Detailed review: |
When we test drove the CR-V, we were highly impressed with the solid feel, the accleration, and the smooth ride. The fit and finish were excellent. But the priority for us was fuel economy, and the 2WD CR-V LX promised us 23/29 MPG.
Unfortunately the CR-V does not get anywhere near the estimated MPG. We were very disappointed to find the CR-V getting 20-22 MPG on mostly highway miles. We took it to the Honda service department, who checked it out and gave it a clean bill of health.
Talking with other CR-V owners online, I have found that the mileage we're getting is typical. We feel like we were misled into making the purchase.
If it weren't for this deception, we would be very happy with the CR-V; it is a solid car that drives great. |
