Detailed review: |
I have driven just over 7000 miles now on my 05 Outback XT Limited. I have the automatic transmission. This car is fantastic--it is utilitarian, and, unlike most SUVs, is still fun to drive. There is a slight turbo lag, which is sometimes annoying, but you can purchase an after-market AccessPort from Cobb Tuning which adds 30 hp and gets rid of almost all of the turbo lag, making the car much more linear in power delivery and much more fun to drive. I have owned many fine autos--Acura NSX, BMW, Lexus, Jaguar, Corvette--for the money, this Subaru is one of my favorites--it is comfortable, sporty, versatile, reliable, and has a fantastic upscale interior. |
