Detailed review: |
I have test driven both the 2005 Toyota Matrix and the Pontiac Vibe plus a few others. The Matrix and the Vibe were Manual Transmissions. I found both are great Auto’s but the Matrix steering was very tight in sharp turns. The Vibe seemed to respond better in sharp curves. Both have Toyota engines and I have been told both the Matrix and the Vibe have interchangeable parts. Both get great gas mileage. The seating is high enough for my 89 year old mother to enter/exit with comfort and the cargo space is expandable when needed. My 6 foot 2 husband sits comfortably in both the front & rear seats.
I found, with GM Employee Discounts for everyone, plus the additional GM rebates made the Pontiac Vibe the best Bang for the Buck. I purchased the 2005 Pontiac Vibe and I just Love it!
