Changfeng Motors Preview
Chinese automaker visits Detroit, promises to come back  by Brian Chee
What it Is

Changfeng Preview – 2007 Detroit Auto Show: With the debut of the Liebao CS6-Y, Changfeng Motors became the first Chinese automaker to introduce a production vehicle at the Detroit Auto Show – though this SUV will never introduce itself onto a North American dealership. Instead, the debut was intended to signal China’s intention to sell cars in the US by the end of the decade. In addition to the Liebao CS6-Y, the state-owned company brought three rather rudimentary concept vehicles, and one of its current SUVs, the Liebao CS7-Y which according to the corporate brochure, “sublimates the driving pleasure to a pleasant drive.”
