What it Is

Toyota Hybrid X Concept Preview – Geneva Auto Show: Psst. Here comes the next Prius. It won’t be for awhile, but the concept hybrid vehicle introduced by Toyota at the 2007 Geneva Auto Show is intended to be the first step in the development of a new, next-gen Prius. This version is a family-sized, four-seat sedan with a real futuristic style, one that takes some of the general Prius design cues to the next level -- such as the roofline and overall shaping. Other highlights include the four-seat, open interior. Designed by Toyota’s European ED2 styling center, the Hybrid X Concept may be a little far out – but not so far as to shadow reality. After all, with more than 600,000 copies sold, the Prius is getting just so, ahem, passé.
