Land Rover LR3 SE 2005 Land Rover LR3 SE
MSRP: $44,330
$1,500 dealer incentive, 3.9% financing
NHTSA: Not tested
IIHS: Not tested

An award-winning SUV with a $1,500 rebate or 3.9-percent financing – now that’s an offer that should move some metal. With its notable introduction and rave reviews from the motoring press, the Land Rover LR3 combines excellent off-road capability with a smooth on-road demeanor. Watch out for some infamous Land Rover gremlins, and there are a few chintzy plastic bits inside the cabin. Those are small complaints, however, when you consider the LR3’s styling, performance and features.

A seven-passenger luxury SUV, the 2005 Land Rover LR3 SE comes with a standard 4.0-liter V6 engine that churns 216 horsepower, and is rated by the EPA at 14 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway. The SE is also available with an optional 4.4-liter, 300-horsepower eight cylinder engine with a mpg rating of 14/18.
