2007 Volkswagen Passat Wagon Review
Materials Quality

Considering the $29,430 sticker price, we expected our 2007 Volkswagen Passat Wagon 2.0T to feature some quality materials, and for the most part, it did. Soft-touch surfaces on the door sills and dash cap gave the interior a refined feel, as did the mesh headliner with matching fabric on the upper pillars. Hard plastic was used for the lower door panels, lower dash, and center console, which is fine since they’re all places that are less likely to be touched. What garnered less affinity was the rubbery steering wheel – leather-wrapped would have dressed things up nicely, especially considering the car’s price. Likewise, the leatherette seat upholstery was decent, but seat heaters should’ve been standard and premium cloth or leather would have been preferable.
