2005 Subaru Forester
It works for single guys who like to take their buds on ski trips. It works for Moms who take their kids to school. It works for dogs that like some space to sprawl out when being chauffeured by their owners. For both people and canines, Subaru offers safety and capability in the 2005 Forester.

Since passenger volume measures 93.5 cubic feet and maximum cargo room 64.1 cubic feet, the all-wheel-drive 2005 Subaru Forester is large enough to carry friends and gear to the slopes or off the dull, beaten path. Available as five models ranging from the 165-horsepower X to the 210-horsepower XT Premium, the Forester sells for as little as $21,445 (plus a $575 destination charge) and as much as $27,545. Among the standard safety features are active headrests, front side airbags, and antilock brakes. All models except the 3,909-lb. X get electronic brake-force distribution.

In NHTSA testing, the 2005 Subaru Forester received five stars for the driver and front passenger in a frontal crash, five stars for the front and rear occupants in a side crash, and four stars for its rollover rating. In IIHS testing, the 2005 Subaru Forester received a Best Pick ranking for its offset frontal crash test performance.
