2007 Kia Rondo First Drive
Advice: Deal Breakers

The deal breakers on the Rondo come in the form of what isn’t offered. There is no entertainment or navigation system available, nor is there an all-wheel drive version of this so-called crossover. It also could use a personality. The Rondo is pleasant in its appearance and dynamics, but also easily forgettable. By comparison, the Chevy HHR and Chrysler PT Cruiser are bursting with character. There is also perception. Even Kia acknowledges that it is still climbing the “ladder” from utilitarian appliances to a brand people are passionate about. While the company has made great strides in the quality – both real and perceived – of its product, it still has minds to change.
