Bringing the EV Back

And according to Wagoner, it’s as if the EV never left, though we all know the story about how GM sank around a billion bucks into the program only to walk away when SUV sales picked up...or something like that. Now that GM’s interest is back, electric development should heat up, and it’s a good thing: with the right kind of battery, electric cars offer great performance and a range just about everyone can live with, with zero emissions. Wagoner said that research is ongoing into developing the kind of battery technology that will make electric cars a plug-in reality.
