2007 Nissan Sentra

All 2007 Nissan Sentras arrive with a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder expected to put out 135 horsepower and 140 lb.-ft. of torque, gains of about 10 percent over today’s base Sentra 1.8. That might not sound significant, but up to 90 percent of the engine’s torque is available at 2,400 rpm, giving the new Sentra good grunt, especially with the optional continually variable transmission. (Nissan offers a six-speed manual transmission as standard equipment.) Equipped with the CVT, the Sentra is expected to achieve 29 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. Other technical highlights include an independent MacPherson-strut front suspension, a torsion beam rear suspension, front and rear stabilizer bars, available four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, and electric power steering.
